I have read just about all of E Lynn Harris' books. I discovered his book just after i discovered that my mate of 18 years was gay and involved in a homosexual love affair. I can not begin to explain the things I went through after the discovery. All I can say is that, a sister went through, indeed I did.
I ran across an excerpt of his second book Just As I Am in Essence Magazine. I ran to the local bookstore to get my copy and read it almost nonstop until I finished. I fell in love with him as an author and have bought all of his books and have read them all with the exception of two.
While I enjoyed his work, he only seemed to address the subject of homosexuality topically, barely scratching the surface. His autobiography, in my opinion, again, only touched on the subject lightly.
